Who We Serve
The Cultural Educational Association (CEA) is a community interest organisation dedicated to enriching learning experiences through the inclusion and understanding of diverse global cultures. The Community Interest Company is intended to benefit the local community with a focus on individuals who have limited access to cultural education. This encompasses people from different age groups and backgrounds, particularly the youth.
We believe that education is a powerful tool that not only broadens the mind but also bridges the gap between different societies, contributing to a more harmonious and tolerant world.
Our Mission
Our mission at the CEA is to promote education that is rich in cultural diversity, providing learners with a more comprehensive understanding of the world. We work diligently to incorporate cultural education into mainstream learning, helping to mould well-rounded, globally aware individuals.
Comprised of a passionate team of educators, cultural enthusiasts, and advocates for diversity, the CEA develops and implements programmes and resources that celebrate cultural differences within the educational landscape. Our approach recognises the value of cultural exchange in enriching education and fostering mutual respect and understanding.
We believe our initiatives will foster a more inclusive, diverse, and educated community. We are committed to contributing positively and extensively to the community's development through cultural education.
Activities & Community Benefit
Our education programmes include classes in languages, arts, history, and cultural practices. These are delivered through workshops, community events, classes, and online platforms. We plan to offer these services free of charge or at a subsidised rate to ensure they are accessible to all members of the community.
Our activities benefit the community by delivering cultural education that exposes individuals to various world cultures, languages, arts, and history. We organise workshops, classes, and events that promote cultural understanding and appreciation. We collaborate with local schools and community centres to incorporate cultural education into their curriculums, and provide resources such as books, educational materials, and online platforms to facilitate learning.
Community-First Model
Our primary goal is community enrichment and empowerment through cultural education, rather than profit-making. We reinvest profits back into the community by enhancing our educational offerings and organising more community-based events.
What is a Community Interest Company?
A Community Interest Company (CIC) is a special type of limited company regulated by the CIC Regulator at Companies House. CICs are designed for social enterprises that want to use their profits and assets for the public good.
Unlike charities, CICs can engage in commercial activities, but they are subject to an “asset lock” which ensures that the company's assets and profits are used for the benefit of the community it was set up to serve.
The CEA declared in its CIC36 formation document that it is not a political party, not a political campaigning organisation, and not a subsidiary of any political entity.
About community.group
community.group is the transparent cultural funding platform built and operated by Cultural Educational Association CIC. It provides the infrastructure for cultural and educational projects to raise funds with full public accountability.
Every project on the platform publishes an itemised budget, releases funds only when milestones are verified with evidence, and logs every contribution and payout in a public ledger within 24 hours.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. All platform operations are subject to the CEA's community interest obligations and CIC Regulator oversight.
